Chronic pain conditions can be debilitating for clients, however exercise and strength training have been shown to be effective treatments in chronic pain management. Evidence has shown strength training can help to reduce muscle pain and joint pain by strengthening the muscles around the joints, which takes some of the stress off the joint when in use.
What If We Told You There Is A Life Changing Exercise Program For You?
Prolonged muscle weakness leads to atrophy (reduced muscle size), altering movement patterns and causing recurrent pain.
This is where you enter our life changing Exercise Program!
PHASE 1 – REPAIR
Your First 6 weeks
The intention of phase 1 is to establish your baseline.
Results – unfortunately – don’t happen overnight. Ensuring we are both committed to a long-term plan is the only way we can guarantee results.
In the repair phase — no matter your goal — 6 weeks is the most honest amount of time you will need to commit to improve how you feel and move, which will allow you to build a solid foundation.
What can you expect from the repair phase?
Based on your initial assessment & personal goals we will create a program that is 100% tailored to your needs. This will allow you to:
- Understand And Take Control Of Your Pain
- Improve Your Mobility Restrictions
- Retrain Movement Patterns for Stronger, Safer Training
- Begin Building Productive Habits to Improve Both Physically + Mentally
When your pain is better controlled, you have the opportunity to rebuild your muscle strength, improve your movement patterns and break the cycle of deconditioning and chronic pain.
PHASE 2 – RESTORE
Weeks 7 – 12
The intention of Phase 2 is to take you to the next level.
The restore phase is truly where a training program begins to take shape.
You will start to feel strong and capable of much better movement than when you started.
What can you expect from the restore Phase?
- Re-Test Your Mobility + Strength Metrics
- Gradual Return to Previously Aggravating Activities
- Build Upon Foundational Movement Patterns
You may have gotten to this point because you have seen Physio’s for your back pain, personal trainers for weight loss, or you haven’t tried anyone because you thought you were too old, sick or disabled to start an exercise program.
We all know that not exercising or stopping exercise due to illness or injury can be one of the worst things you can do. This may result in more pain or a decline in your condition.
PHASE 3 – RESILIENCE
Months 4 – 12
This is our most important phase. We believe that strong bodies are resilient bodies (and so does science)! The journey takes time and we support you at each stage to remain pain-free and to operate at your optimum level.
- Comprehensive strength & mobility testing
- Resilience Building Through Strength + Conditioning Principles
- Maintenance of Prehab to Avoid Re-Injury
- Constantly Evolving Programming According to Your Progress
But, starting for the first time or re-commencing exercise after a long time isn’t easy when you do it alone or without the right guidance and support. Believe it or not, exercise should be enjoyable – it doesn’t even need to be hard. As Strength & Rehab Specialists, we know that when people are prescribed the right exercise program their life has potential to change for the better.
